DAY 04

walked the streets of mongkok where we found great buys at argyle and regretted not having more time/days to finish the entire area like we did at kimberly. i guess we could only blame on our fabulous sleeping patterns.

the cleaning lady came knocking repeatedly on our door, a barely awake and irritated mel crawled out of bed and yanked the door open. very obviously, we werent awake much less ready for room freakin service so she apologised and left. i was on my way to crawling back in bed, muttering to myself & to maybe to maine if she was awake.
'why does the stupid lady have to come so early every morning? she always have to wake me up lah...grumble grumble grumle.' (it is true, she has been doing that to me for the past 3 mornings)
then a half asleep maine mumbled from under the blanket 'what time is it now?' i reached for my phone, squinted at the numbers,
'fuck it's 12.30'

you notice a pattern too? i've been reporting the same waking-up issue for my past 2 entries. not that i like repeating myself but it has been a vicious cycle. my dear tai tais! no more missing out on mornings when we get to bangkok, taiwan & japan okayy? (:

so i say, hongkong: a total fab place. the weather? awesome. a perfect range of 15-19 degrees. we've walked everywhere, shopped alot, ate plenty, and definitely, sleeping takes the cake.
oh and the peak, i cannot forget the mesmerizing night scenery. that wind! it was way crazy up there because we were screaming shivering jumping and laughing so hard as we ran all the way across the platformto save our freezing asses. WJ dared us to stick our faces over the panel and look down. he's totally right, it felt like committing suicide.
